Ada County Assessor's Office maintains the dataset of city limits within Ada County. It is comprised of city boundaries determined by taxcode and maintained continually, adding areas annexed to city limits by current ordinances.
Ada County Assessor's Office provides maps to the public showing city limits. Also to COMPASS(community planning association) for planning purposes, local municipalities for planning and knowledge of city service areas. This dataset is similar to the Idaho State Tax Commission dataset, differing in that STC updates and distributes only once a year. Used as map layer for analysis and display purposes.
Data users provide continuous feedback on data quality, with error reports acted on within two weeks. All data produced strives to meet National Mapping Accuracy Standards (NMAS).
