Description:

Parks were originally identified using 2010 6 inch resolution aerial imagery combined with assessor parcel information and subdivision plats. The most recent update used 2013 aerial imagery along with subdivsion data, focusing on the most recent developments where new private parks may have been created since the last update. Parks were determined to have at least a pathway component and may include play equipment in addition to other amenities. There are additional parcels of open space in some neighborhoods that do not qualify as parks. Park amenities were often verified using Google Street View or Bing Bird's Eye view. Specific field descriptions are below:

PLAY_EQUIP - Park has childrens play equipment and/or swings

BASKET_B - Has any form of basketball court (half, full, combined with other court, etc.)

VOLL_B - Has a volleyball court

TENNIS - Has a tennis court, sometimes combined with basketball court

OTHER - A listing of other amenities such as a pool, picnic area/tables, covered areas, etc.

PATH - Contains a walking path or is part of a connected pathway system

SOCC - Contains a soccer goal or field.
